It is with profound honour and sincere gratitude that I extend this message to you upon my election as the President of the Peradeniya Engineering Faculty Alumni Association (PEFAA) at the Annual General Meeting in November 2025. I am deeply appreciative of the trust and confidence that the membership has placed in me to lead our distinguished alumni body for the upcoming term. This appointment is both a privilege and a significant responsibility, and I am committed to serving the Association to the best of my ability.
At the outset, I wish to place on record my heartfelt appreciation to the outgoing President and the Executive Committee for their dedicated service and the valuable contributions they have made towards strengthening the association and enhancing its role in supporting both alumni and the Faculty of Engineering. Their achievements provide a strong foundation upon which we hope to build further progress.
As we move forward, our vision is to enhance the unity, visibility, and effectiveness of PEFAA through a series of strategic initiatives. These will include strengthening alumni networking, expanding professional and academic collaborations, offering enhanced support to current undergraduates through mentorship and training opportunities, and improving communication and digital engagement platforms. We also intend to organize impactful events and projects that contribute positively to society and elevate the reputation of our faculty.
The success of PEFAA depends on the collective commitment, participation, and expertise of its members. I therefore earnestly invite all alumni, both local and overseas, to actively engage with our programmes, volunteer for initiatives, and share your ideas and suggestions. Together, we can elevate our association to even greater heights and continue the proud legacy we share.
I look forward with confidence and enthusiasm to a productive year ahead and wish every member continued success and well-being.
